Slow Food promotes initiatives to help raise awareness among consumers and encourage them to make informed choices toward more sustainable patterns of consumption.
Slow Food promotes many activities around meat consumption and animal welfare aimed at both adults and children. Through specific campaigns, conferences, articles, and other media initiatives, we inform consumers on the importance of reducing their consumption of meat and other animal products and choosing products from farms that pay particular attention to animal welfare.
Many of our local and international events feature special sections dedicated to informing citizens on the importance of reducing meat consumption and choosing higher-quality animal products. During the events, dedicated conferences and forums bring together experts, farmers, NGOs, institutions, and consumer movements to exchange information and promote change.
