Shrimp Community Supported Fishery
The weather outside is frightful, But the shrimp are so delightful!
United States | Maine
Penobscot East Resource Center’s Community Supported Fishery (CSF) features both whole and picked shrimp, all locally caught by fishermen who have agreed to participate.
CSF members receive fresh, high-quality local shrimp, and they also support fishermen –by supporting an important winter source of income at fair prices. The CSF links fishermen directly with the customers who are eating their shrimp, promoting understanding and exchange. When a customer invests in a shrimp CSF share, they make an investment in the wellbeing of eastern Maine’s fishing communities, the mission of Penobscot East Resource Center.
Pick up’s are on Saturdays at locations in Stonington, Blue Hill, Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island.
