More than 20,000 people took to the streets of Berlin on January 19, for the “Wir haben es satt” (We’re fed up!) rally, organzied by Slow Food Germany and partner organizations to demand better food and agriculture in Europe. A day earlier, more than 800 kilos of vegetables were saved from waste and transformed into a “protest soup” at the Schnippeldisko – a mass “chopping and cooking” action against food waste with DJs organized by the Slow Food Youth Network in Germany.
