Food can heal the soul, and the “Silly Cooking Project” is a living proof of it! During the first confinement in March 2020, the Slow Food Convivium in Silly (Hainaut, Belgium) decided to prepare and deliver food baskets to elderly people, with regional products from local producers. Anna Maria Ruminska lives in south-west Poland and runs, with other volunteers, the Slow Food Dolny Slask Convivium, born to promote the gastronomical biodiversity of the whole region. During the pandemic emergency she never stops organizing events and activities for citizens, members and not members of the Convivium, trying to help chefs and producers get the word out about their work, even during the lockdown, and to educate adults and children about good, clean and fair food.
