Slow Vitis

Barcelona-Vázquez Montalbán convivium hosts major wine event

On May 10-11 the Convent of Saint Augustin in Barcelona will host the third edition of Slow Vitis, organized by the Barcelona-Vázquez Montalbán convivium.

This year the event will focus on biodynamic wines, without overlooking natural wines made from native grape varietals, hence good, clean and fair, and also … local.

A perfect example of the work in support of biodiversity and taste education carried on by Slow Food Barcelona-Vázquez Montalbán, Slow Vitis will be staged in collaboration with INCAVI, the Catalan Institute of Vineyards and Wine, and Turisme de Catalunya, the Catalan tourist board.

This year the event will be held at a new, larger venue. Fifty or so Spanish and international wineries will exhibit their products, and wine workshops will be organized on both days (Sunday open to the general public, Monday for members of the trade).

In short, Slow Vitis will be a showcase of quality winemaking both for connoisseurs and for anyone curious to find out more about this fascinating subject.

Tickets €8. For information, call +34.93.11.20.262 or email [email protected].
