2.   SOURCES OF PERSONAL DATA 

Personal data can be gathered:
(a)directly from the interested parties and directly and freely supplied by them through the individual compilation of an application to join a community, either printed or online.
(b)from the community spokesperson, through the founding declaration, either printed or in digital format, containing the individual and contact details of the members, directly and freely supplied by them to the spokesperson, who undertakes to transfer the updated and correct data to the Data Controller.
 
3.   PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
The identifying data and emails collected will be used:
(a)to improve participation in the community.
(b)to keep community members updated through communications and newsletters relating to the association or providing information from the Slow Food movement, including from the legal entities through which the movement operates on a national or international level, as well as to ask community members to get involved in campaigns, petitions and activities based on European citizens’ initiative rights.
 

4.   OPTIONAL PROVISION OF DATA AND CONSEQUENCES OF REFUSAL 

The provision of data is optional.
The willingness to belong to the community, expressed in the founding declaration and subsequent participation, requires the active involvement of members in the community and the legitimate interest of the parties in sending/receiving communications for the purposes expressed in point 3.b.
In the case of refusal to participate in the community, the purposes referenced in points 3.a (improving participation) and 3.b will be unable to be fulfilled.

5.   PROCESSING METHODS
Datasecurity requirements and fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as the dignity of the interested party, with particular reference to privacy and personal identity.
The data will be stored until the end of the legal requirements for defense or legal claims, after the purposes for which the data were collected have expired.

6.   CATEGORIES OF SUBJECTS TO WHICH THE DATA CAN BE COMMUNICATED
(a)Those entrusted with and responsible for processing, whether internal or external to the Controller’s organization, who carry out specific tasks and opera- tions.
(b)Any spokespeople of the community to which the interested party belongs (autonomous controllers).
(c)In cases provided for by law.
Personal data will not be transferred to recipients in a third country or an international organization outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA).
 
7.   DURATION OF PROCESSING
(a)The data will be processed for the entire duration of participation in the community and subsequently if authorized as follows.
(b)If a member leaves the community or the community is closed, the interested party will be asked to give specific consent for the preservation of their personal data for archival purposes and for the purposes specified in point 3.b regarding the sending of association-related communications. In the case of authorization, data will be kept until the revocation of consent. In the case of refusal, they will be cancelled or anonymized.

8.   RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTY
At any time the interested party may exercise their rights (to access, rectification, cancellation, restriction, portability, opposition, absence of automated deci- sion-making processes) when stipulated in regards to the Data Controller, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR; lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Au- thority (www.garanteprivacy.it); and, where data processing is based on consent, revoke consent, taking into account the fact that such a revocation will not affect the lawfulness of consent-based data processing that occurred before consent was revoked.
