Slowfood.com receives facelift

13 Sep 2001 | English

On Wednesday a new updated version of slowfood.com will go on line. The site was completely redesigned in April and its audience is growing all the time. The revision – new graphics, more space for news, brand new columns and features – is more of a makeover than a revolution. Every day the new Home Page will link to brief news items on the food scene, articles by our correspondents all over the world, tips on hotels, restaurants and other establishments worldwide, reviews of two wines a week, wine features, events news and press releases. Plus, you’ll find more surprises by browsing here and there round the site, which, for the duration of Cheese 2001 in Bra, will be entirely devoted to the cheese on display there.

From September 21-24, Sloweb, the slowfood.com on-line daily will devote its Sloweek, section to the proceedings of ‘The Secret of High Quality Is Raw Milk’, the conference on raw milk cheeses that will open the event. The stop-press section will provide up-to-the-minute news about the key events at Cheese, while Winews will obviously be covering the wine-related events in Bra. The new weekly feature SlowFoodPlanet will also dedicate its first weekly part to Bra and environs with SF tips on where to stay, shop, eat and drink in the area. Another new section will be given over entirely to Slow Food USA.

The Home Page of slowfood.com will continue to offer a link to the special Cheese site, which includes the events program (in English and Italian), a map of Bra with the various Cheese venues, press releases and everything else you need to know, if you intend to come to visit.

The Cheese menu will be a rich and abundant one and slowfood.com has prepared a lavish plateau of information to tell you all – and we mean all! – about it.

Remember, Slow Food may move at snail’s pace. But it never stops … ever!
