Day 2: Facts and Figures

Attendance figures soared yesterday for the second day of Cheese 2001. Despite the scattered rain and cool afternoon, people flocked to Bra to attend the first weekend day of the event. The Great Hall of Cheese registered over 10,000 visitors, but attendance figures at the market were even higher, with the Presidia stands attracting the lion’s share. Cheese 2001 is not just for tasters and buyers, however. In fact, over 200 journalists – 150 of whom write for Italian publications – have registered for the events so far.
