Events

Indigenous Terra Madre (ITM) events are global or regional indigenous-led meetings held within indigenous territories.

These events represent key moments for ITM members to meet, debate, exchange knowledge and food products as well as to raise awareness among governments and civil society on indigenous peoples’ issues. When communities meet, the events become a celebration of the diversity of food cultures.

Slow Food also organizes meetings every two years as part of Terra Madre and Salone del Gusto, where ITM members can debate the food system, its challenges and opportunities as well as exchange best practices and raise awareness.
