Since its establishment in 2000, Slow Food USA has grown to 25,000 members and 250 convivia nationwide.

Convivia advocate sustainability and biodiversity through educational events and public outreach, promoting consumption of seasonal and local foods and their producers. Slow Food USA publishes The Snail, a quarterly newsletter for members, and The Food Chain, a monthly online newsletter for members.
