8th Slow Food International Congress – Pollenzo (Italy), 2022

The International Congress is a crucial moment for the Slow Food movement, where our political, strategic and organizational direction is defined at the international level, and therefore, at all other levels of the organization.
Initially planned for 2020, it was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now scheduled for the 16th and 17th of July in Pollenzo (Italy), at the Campus of the University of Gastronomic Sciences.
The 8th International Congress follows the path undertaken by the movement at the previous Congress in Chengdu (2017) and the call we made then for an organisational change of our movement. We want now to bring forward the transition needed to make Slow Food increasingly open and inclusive, to enable our network to better impact the world we live in and to tackle the great challenges of our times.
This phase of reflection and change will continue through our new congress and will develop in various stages in which the contribution of our members and communities throughout this key political moment in the life of our movement will be essential.
