319 Italian wineries and 102 more from around the world: these are the first confirmed names that you’ll be able to meet in person at the Slow Wine Fair. And we’re aiming for a thousand!

Why do we think of numbers as being cold? Perhaps because in reading them we have an instant idea of whether they constitute a victory or a defeat. Were that true, we’re sure that having 421 wineries confirmed for the Slow Wine Fair at a little more than 100 days from the start of the event could be considered a success beyond our expectations.

Numbers, however, can only say so much. Below you’ll find a list with all the names of the wineries who’ve been quick to declare their belief in our new project; together they’ll give you a clearer idea of what the Slow Wine Fair will be. Right from its first edition, it’s shaping up to be an unmissable event for all industry professionals and enthusiasts.

Given that wineries are continuing to sign up to be part of Slow Wine Fair at a steady rhythm, we believe our ambition of reaching a thousand wineries from around the world is very realistic indeed. There’ll never have been anything quite like it in Italy before.

The Slow Wine Fair isn’t a generalist affair; it has a precise target. Indeed, the professionals who come and the wineries who fill pavilions 15 and 20 of BolognaFiere can be certain of an experience in which the wine on display is good, clean and fair.

At the same time, Slow Food intends to open its arm to this world in the spirit of constructive dialog, and for this reason our partnership with Società Excellence is of strategic importance: this has already made a decisive contribution to the success of the Slow Wine Fair, with lots of signatures from enologists worldwide that will give the fair an extra measure of prestige.

The dates for your diary:

• Saturday, February 26 – plenury sessions and conferences
• Sunday, February 27 – opening of the fair (for enthusiasts and professionals)
• Monday, February 28 and Tuesday, March 1 – fair reserved for professionals
