Vote for Slow Food!
13 Jan 2015
Exciting news! Our ESSEDRA (Environmentally Sustainable Socio-Economic Development of Rural Areas) project is a finalist for the European Commission 2014 CAP Communication Awards.
According the European Commission website, a total of 146 applications were received for the 2014 award; a number that has now been whittled down to just nine. There are three categories -communication to stakeholders, innovative communication and communication to the public – with three finalists per category. The ESSEDRA project is up for the latter.
The project is a natural result of the growing and strengthening of Terra Madre Balkans network. Launched in 2012, it aims to support the integration process of the Balkan countries and Turkey into Europe, but at the same time create conditions for these countries to preserve their identity, demonstrated by their amazing food diversity and artisanal food.
An independent jury of communication professionals and CAP experts selected the finalists, but now it’s up to you!
The public vote opened on January 12 and closes on January 28.
