Slow Wine Online
25 Jun 2014
The second issue of Slow Food’s new digital publication Slow Wine Magazine is now available in English, German and Italian.
Slow Wine takes a fresh approach to wine criticism, evaluating not just the quality of the wine but the stories behind the labels, adherence to terroir, value for money, and environmental sustainability. Through the input of our local experts, it provides a unique opportunity to learn about wines and producers that do not yet have a mainstream presence outside of Italy.
In the second issue we explore the best Chianti Classicos on the market, and which Amarone vintages are proving to be in the best shape after more than 14 years of aging. We take you to the steep vineyards overlooking the sparkling blue sea of Campania, where heroic winemakers are producing floral white wines whose characteristic mineral qualities are a result of the distinctive volcanic terrain.
Each issue will cover a mix of popular and lesser-known wines and denominations to offer you a comprehensive vision of the Italian wine-scape, providing a unique insight both for professionals in the business and the average wine enthusiast. The publication is complete with lists of our top picks along with tasting notes, in-depth regional analyses, maps, high-quality pictures, and contacts of importers.
To celebrate the release of our second issue, we are offering a special promotion: Until July 7 you can enjoy 30% off Slow Wine Magazine. Choose from the annual subscription for just US$29, or purchase individual issues or articles.
