San Francisco Eats
31 Mar 2006
Slow Food released its third city guide in January 2006. A follow-up to its popular Chicago and New York City guides, The Slow Food Guide to San Francisco and the Bay Area covers restaurants as well as bars, markets and specialty shops.
San Francisco is renown for its food culture, and the guide aims to help those in search of quality food to navigate its neighborhoods – and beyond – for the best the Bay Area has to offer. The 550 addresses were carefully selected by 75 local food experts and range from the most well-known temples of haute cuisine to ethnic eateries frequented only by those in the know, to the city’s best street vendors.
The guide is an excellent resource for adventurous and avid eaters who wish to explore the gastronomic wealth of the San Francisco Bay Area.
