Planting The Future: bringing youth together for better food systems

Through daily tips to improve our eating habits and mobilize local action, this online challenge promotes food that respects animals and protects the planet.

Younger generations are increasingly aware of the environmental and ethical implications of their food choices.

The Planting The Future challenge invites them to play an active role in transforming food systems for the better.

Arising from a participatory process held last year to discuss the issues of factory farming with food workers around the world, (inserire link), the challenge aims to bring these topics to a wider audience and spur collective action.

Throughout February participants will explore daily bite-sized content around the impact of our food—especially factory farming systems—on animals and the planet.

Through daily tips to improve our eating habits and mobilize local action, this online challenge promotes food that respects animals and protects the planet.

Subscribe to the challenge at plantingthefuture.slowfood.com to receive podcasts, documentaries, and articles that examine the issues of intensive food systems and the wide world of existing alternatives.

Being aware of these problems is key, but action is needed for things to change!

The program also includes weekly online meetups where participants can share their experiences and new ways to make a positive impact in their communities, from film screenings to petitions.
