In Memory of Ettore Tibaldi
25 Aug 2008
We regret to announce the death yesterday, Sunday August 24, of Ettore Tibaldi, aged 63, a great friend and tireless collaborator of the Slow Food movement.
A former lecturer in zoology at the University of Milan, Ettore was a member of the scientific committee of the Slow Fish event in Genoa and since 2006 taught zoology at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo/Colorno.
Besides contributing regularly to Slow Food, from the international Slow journal to the Italian Slowfood magazine, Ettore was also the author of the monograph Cibo d’Africa (The Food of Africa), dedicated to a continent that he loved and traveled extensively.
To his brother, his children, his partner, his many friends in Bergamo and Milan and all those who loved Ettore, Slow Food expresses its deepest condolences.
