Cheers, Vinitaly!
07 Apr 2006
Yesterday, the Italian Minister of Agriculture inaugurated the fortieth edition of Vinitaly, Italy’s largest wine exposition, in the heart of Verona.
With 4,200 wine producers from 25 countries, it is the biggest fair yet and as President of Verona Fairs Luigi Castelletti said, good reason to celebrate.
For the wine industry, it’s one of the largest wine expositions in the world, offering an opportunity for producers, distributors and other wine professionals of international renown to meet and to assess the state of the industry and developing trends. For wine aficionados, Vinitaly offers numerous opportunities to taste and learn.
At the space dedicated to Slow Food (pavilion 9, stand E4/F4), visitors can become members, and those who are already members can sample – gratis — regional specialties prepared by guest chefs recognized by Slow Food in its guide to Italy’s osterie, or traditional restaurants.
