Biodiversity Through Art

Starting today, Slow Food Veneto in collaboration with the Fondazione Berengo and OpUnDi (Open University of Diversity) will hold a series of four events to communicate biodiversity through art.

 

The event, entitled Life Bank’s Conversations, will include conversations with Carlo Petrini, Slow Food Founder; Piero Sardo, Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity President; Cinzia Scaffidi, Slow Food Italy Vice President, and the artist Koen Vanmechelen, among others.

Monday, September 28

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Guided tour of Glasstress 2015 Gotika and Life Bank with the curator Adriano Berengo Gaetano Pascale (president of Slow Food Italy) and artist Koen Vanmechelen.

 

6.30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Conversations with Slow Food founder of Carlo Petrini and artist Koen Vanmechelen.

Tasting of wines selected by Slow Food Veneto and AIS Veneto in collaboration with Unione Vini Veneti, and “cichetti” made with ancient cereals.

 

Saturday, October 24

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Guided tour of Glasstress 2015 Gotika and Life Bank with the curator Adriano Berengo and artist Koen Vanmechelen.

 

6.30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Conversation with Piero Sardo, Slow Food  Foundation for Biodiversity president; and artist Koen Vanmechelen. Tasting of wines selected by Slow Food Veneto and AIS Veneto in collaboration with Unione Vini Veneti, and “cichetti” made with ancient cereals.

Conversations with Gaetano Pascale, president of Slow Food Italy); and researchers of the Ricerca per la Maiscoltura (CRA-MAC) of Bergamo and Piergiorgio Defilippi – Social-Organic Farm Il Rosmarino.
Tasting of wines selected by Slow Food Veneto and AIS Veneto in collaboration with Unione Vini Veneti and “cichetti” made with ancient cereals from the Social-Organic Farm Il Rosmarino in collaboration with the Ist. Alb. “E. Cornaro” of Jesolo, Venezia will follow.

 

Thursday, November 19

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Guided tour of Glasstress 2015 Gotika and Life Bank with the curator Adriano Berengo

 

6.30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Conversations with Cinzia Scaffidi (Vice president of Slow Food Italia), author of the book edited by Slow Food Editore.

Tasting of wines selected by Slow Food Veneto and AIS Veneto in collaboration with Unione Vini Veneti, and “cichetti” made with ancient cereals. The guided tour to the exhibition and the meetings will be accompanied by multisensory tastings. Admission to the events is free of charge and limited to seating availability.
