The World in a Kitchen
Italy
-
30 Oct 12
Coconut rice with cashew sauce from Mozambique, an Ethiopian tasting plate, Sri Lankan curried beef with millet roti and Malaysian curries were just some of the dishes on the menu at the Terra Madre Kitchen, a new eatery at the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre in 2012. Crowds of visitors were enticed by authentic recipes from far-flung regions that are most almost impossible to find outside their communities, prepared by more than 40 cooks from Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East during the five-day event.
