Over 100,000 Visitors Enjoy Salone del Gusto’s Rich Program of Events

Italy - 25 Oct 08

By 6 pm on the third day of the event, the Lingotto turnstiles had already registered 44,900 visitors, bringing the total attendance in three days to 105,000. Around 5,000 more than the figures at the same time during the last edition in 2006, the slight rise includes a significant increase in the percentage of visitors from outside Italy. “What’s interesting is the growing number of activities that the same exhibitors are offering to the public, and which join those already planned in the Salone’s program” said Silvio Barbero, Slow Food Italy’s National Secretary. “Thanks to the guide and map that visitors receive at the ticket desk, they can orient themselves well and choose what interests them most from a wide range of events.”
