EFSA Rejects GM Maize
Belgium -
25 Apr 13
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has rejected DuPont Pioneer's application for genetically modified (GM) maize 98140 on the grounds that it had failed to provide adequate data in order to certify the product's safety.
Experts from the Authority's panel on genetically modified organisms (GM) said it had not been possible to carry out a comparative assessment of the application as it contained "insufficient data".
