Farming Without Neonicotinoids: It’s Possible!

Belgium - 12 Apr 13

A conference titled ‘Pollinator friendly farming is possible’ was held on March 22 in Brussels. Beekeepers demonstrated that it is possible to farm without neonicotinoids presenting their experiences on alternative agricultural practices to academics, farmers, policy makers, NGOs and citizens. The conference was co-organised by Bart Staes MEP, the European Beekeeping Coordination and PAN Europe with Slow Food International and Slow Food Karikol-Bruxelles within the framework of the Week Without Pesticides. The Slow Food convivium organised a honey tasting after the conference to demonstrate that biodiversity exists also in honey!
