Last weekend, representatives from 50 indigenous communities from around the world gathered for the Indigenous Terra Madre Meeting. The representatives gathered in the Sapmi lands in northern Sweden to discuss how to bring their knowledge and vision of food production into modern times. The first of Slow Food’s Terre Madre events focused specifically on Indigenous issues and brought together 200 delegates from many diverse lands and customs.
Indigenous Terra Madre was organized by Slow Food Sàpmi together with Slow Food Sweden and Slow Food International.
