18: Schnippel Disko Berlin, Germany Slow Food Youth Network Germany invites the public to Martk Halle Neun to help prepare food that would otherwise be thrown out, accompanied by DJs and live music. In this second year of this ‘Disco Soup’ event, they will be joined by SFYN France members and fishers from Slow Food Netherlands. More information here
19: - "Wir haben satt!" Demonstration Berlin, Germany Under the slogan ‘Wir haben satt!’ (We’ve had enough), more than 20,000 people will demonstrate outside Angela Merkel’s office to demand good food and good farming, and significant changes to Europe’s Common Agricultural Policy. 28-Feb 4: Slow Wine USA Tour 2013 New York, Miami, San Francisco Slow Food presents the 2013 edition of its English-language guide to good, clean and fair Italian wine, Slow Wine. 4-7: Slow Camp San Luis, Los Canelones, Uruguay Slow Food members from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay are participating in this gathering to promote dialogue and exchange of experiences, reinforcing the Slow Food and Slow Food Youth Network in the region by establishing closer relationships and planning joint activities. 17: Culinary Cinema Berlin, Germany The Culinary Cinema section of the annual International Berlinale Film Festival is dedicated to “food, pleasure and environment”, with regular participation from Slow Food. www.berlinale.de
MARCH 22-24: Food Film Festival Amsterdam, Netherlands The 3rd edition of the Food Film Festival presents a selection of documentaries, shorts and fictional movies related to food, nutrition, sustainability, gastronomy and connoisseurs of all varieties. The festival is aimed at an international audience, so there are films and activities for non-Dutch speakers. Slow Food Germany’s fair of good, clean and fair food is held over four days each April, bringing together artisan producers and traders for an impressive marketplace as well as workshops, talks, excursions and dinners. www.slowfood.de
5-7: Blossoming Apricot Festival Batken District, Kyrgyzstan Third edition of the annual festival dedicated to the apricot, organized by Foundation Bio Muras and Slow Food Bishkek Muras in collaboration with local authorities. The celebration brings together generations to promote biodiversity protection and community values.
April 20-21: Grandmothers' Day 2013 Sandbook, IrelandGrandmothers' Day is Slow Food Ireland’s annual celebration of their national food heritage, dedicated to remembering inherited food skills and wisdom passed down by previous generations with a family event at Sandbrook House on Sunday 21. On Saturday a symposium will be held to discuss how saving Irish food traditions can create jobs in rural areas. www.slowfoodireland.com 25-28: Slow Food Canada National ConferenceOsoyoos, BC, CanadaConvivium leaders, national board members and international representatives meet to discuss the development of Slow Food in Canada. MAY 9-12: Slow Fish - INTERNATIONAL Genova, Italy
Slow Food's biennial event dedicated to sustainable fisheries and fish consumption. The fishing communities united in the Slow Fish network come together with the public and experts for conferences, meetings, workshops and tastings. In 2013 the event moves to the historic port in the heart of the city.

More than 300 Italian convivia host free events in piazzas across the country such as markets, tastings, meetings with producers and educational workshops. 1-9 June: Slow Food UK Week 2013 various locations, UK Events across the country organized by local Slow Food groups, chefs and businesses, as well as private celebrations in home. 13: Gioco del Piacere dell'olio various locations, Italy Eighth edition of the national tasting of extra virgin olive oils reviewed in the Slow Food Editore publication Guida agli Extravergini 2013. Participants at events across the country will taste the oils ‘blind’ and classify them according to their preferences, from best to least favorite. The results will be collected over the course of the evening and a winner announced immediately. www.slowfood.it

20: To the Origins of Taste Summer School Eupatoria, Ukraine Representatives of educational projects, teachers and students from Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will meet for an international seminar dedicated to taste and sensory education, school gardens, cooking programs and other ways to change food habits.
23-24: Terra Madre Russia Suzdal, Russia The second meeting of Russian Terra Madre communities and the Slow Food network, organized by Slow Food Suzdal-Niva Convivium and with participation of other convivia, in collaboration with the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve. The event will include a conference entitled “Land resources for food security” and sensory education workshops and activities for the general public.
30: White Night Adriatic Festival Novigrad, Cittanova d-Istria, Croatia Slow Food Istria is celebrating the entry of Croatia into the European Union with an event to promote the region and its products, and in particular the Adriatic Sea – now the first sea to be entirely within Europe.

Slow Food's biennial event dedicated to cheese and dairy brings together hundreds of the world's best cheeses and their producers, as well as experts, cheese mongers and cooks, with a focus on promoting artisan production, diversity and raw milk. The first edition of AsiO Gusto 2013 - the event dedicated to good, clean and fair food production across Asia and Oceania - is being organized by the Slow Food Cultural Centre of South Korea and the City of Namyangju, together with Slow Food International. Sixth edition of the event organized by Slow Food Germany to promote sustainable fishing and seafood traditions. Schools and communities participating in Slow Food Italy’s national education project ‘Orto in Condotta’ (convivium food gardens) will celebrate their farming history and food culture. 13-17: Slow Motion Food Film Festival Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada
