23: Cento Cene per Slow Wine (100 Dinners for Slow Wine) 

100 locations across Italy
One hundred dinners will be held to launch Slow Wine 2012, the second edition of Slow Food Editore’s guide to Italian wines that takes into account the big picture of good, clean and fair.

25: Slow Food UK Fundraiser
London, United Kingdom
A fundraiser event for Slow Food UK hosted by chef Massimo Riccioli (spokesperson for Slow Food UK Chef Alliance) will offer a fun afternoon of activities and food to raise money for educational projects such as Slow Food Baby, Slow Food Kids (Taste Adventure), Slow Food on Campus and Slow Food Wisdom.

9-10: Festival of Cheese
Campo Tures, Alto Adige, Italy
Organized by Slow Food Alto Adige Sudtirol, this international festival is dedicated to showcasing quality cheeses from Italy and the around the world. Various Slow Food Presidia will be participating.

16-18: Food Film Festival
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
The second edition of the Food Film Festival is organized by Youth Food Movement Netherlands at Studio/K in Amsterdam and will showcase more than 20 food films and documentaries together with an extensive program of workshops, art, debates and music as well as its own restaurant where young chefs prepare a good, simple and affordable menu.

2-3: Alliance of Chefs and Presidia Meeting

First national meeting of members of the Italian Alliance between chefs and Slow Food Presidia producers. 

12-15: Markt des guten Geschmacks
Stuttgart, Germany 
Slow Food Germany’s fair of good, clean and fair food is held over four days each April, bringing together artisan producers and traders for an impressive marketplace as well as workshops, talks, excursions and dinners. The event attracted more than 55,000 visitors in 2011 – photo gallery here.

The national ¡Que rico es comer sano y de mi tierra! campaign is organized by a collective of groups including Slow Food to promote food sovereignty and responsible consumption. Events to launch the campaign are being held across Ecuador from April 16-22. All the Slow Food convivia are actively involved in this on-going campaign

21-22: Grandmother's Day

Slow Food Ireland is once again celebrating the inherited wisdom and forgotten skills of our elderly generations. This knowledge will be the focus of convivia events across the country as well as a special two-day event hosted by Slow Food Ireland at Sandbrook House, Ballon, including a local producer's market, a children’s festival, a Gala Dinner and workshops and demonstrations showcasing those forgotten skills.

Convivium leaders and members from across Canada will come together for three days in this northern Alberta city to plan the future activities of the national Slow Food movement and vote in the members of the National Board.

Created to celebrate traditional slatko (preserves) made from the Pozegaca plum and other products from the alpine valley of Drina, the festival is held in the small village of Ustikolina. Organized by Slow Food Gorazde and the Slow Food Pozegaca Plum Slatko Presidium.  

OCTOBER

25-29: Salone Del Gusto and Terra Madre - INTERNATIONAL

Turin, Italy
This year Slow Food's two defining events are being held together as one united event – Salone del Gusto, the biennial international fair of good, clean and fair food and the Terra Madre world meeting of food communities. Together they are expected to attract around 200,000 visitors to Turin, Italy and thousands of small-scale food producers from all over the world. The event will give visitors the opportunity to discover and taste the products and cuisines of the Slow Food network worldwide - Slow Food Presidia, food communities and producers – and attend some of the hundreds of Taste Workshops, conferences, Theater of Taste events and more. This is the ninth edition of the Salone and the fourth edition of Terra Madre.

For the second time, Slow Food Macedonia will host an area dedicated to the movement’s projects and promoting the philosophy of good, clean and fair as part of Macedonia’s most important agro-food fair.

A good, clean and fair market involving small-scale producers from across Switzerland, including Terra Madre food communities and Presidia, with Taste Workshops, activities for children and an Enoteca space.

Celebrations of the national project ‘Orto in Condotta’ (convivium food gardens) will take place in school and communities, bringing together generations to remember the farming history and culture in the more than 300 localities across Italy.

11-14: Slow Fisch Bremen
Bremen, Germany

Fifth edition of the event that looks at the work being done by Slow Food Germany to preserve sustainable fishing and seafood traditions. In addition to presenting good, clean and fair fish from Northern Europe, the marketplace includes producers of accompanying condiments and foods, as well as breweries and wineries.
